Karan’s early career was within the motor industry, mostly finance and administration. In those days, with a young family, she could never imagine owning and running her own business; like many women she has met along the way, there was no expectation
from family or loved ones that it was even an option.
That all changed when she made the decision to change careers and work for a female financial adviser. Within a very short space of time Karan was encouraged and supported to undertake her Financial Adviser exams and qualified
as an adviser in 2016. In 2020, Karan purchased the company from her retiring mentor and now employs an all-female support staff.
The vital help Karan received made a lasting impression and she is determined to create opportunities for women through her financial advice, employment practices and now by bringing women together to support, encourage and empower
each other in the safe and nurturing space that WIBN meetings offer.
