Online networking events became very popular during the pandemic, they were a necessity in a world where we couldn't get out and about to meet business connections.

At WIBN we worked hard to make sure that all of our meetings could take place online as quickly as possible. This allowed our members to stay connected, continue networking and receive support which was now more essential than ever.

Embracing online networking

Many of us quickly went from never using video conferencing to logging in multiple times a week for anything from family catch-ups to regular business meetings. Whilst we set out with some trepidation and lots of cries of "You're on mute", we soon got used to this new way of connecting.

And what's more, many of us began to love it... Connecting with people at the click of a button, with no travelling involved and easy to use technology like Zoom.

Networking online works

With all of our local networking meetings successfully operating online it gave us the idea that online networking might be something that people wanted to do (rather than just needed to do). Online networking opens up so many possibilities for women all around the UK to meet each other.

Connecting Women all around the UK

In 2020 we launched our first national online group and we haven't looked back. Our members absolutely love the freedom that networking online affords them and we now have a large network of women from all around the UK (and even in Spain) regularly meeting online.

All seven online groups meet monthly on Zoom and network in the same way that our in-person groups do. This includes sharing information and referrals, supporting each other through their business journeys and growing their network.
