We’re delighted to announce that we have recently recruited three new franchisees, two of whom were already members of their local WIBN networking groups.

Dorothy Greig, Helen Clarke and Sharon Carter will open their new businesses in the coming weeks in their local areas.

Dorothy Greig

New franchisee Dorothy Greig was a member of the Milton Keynes WIBN group that closed during Covid. She missed the meetings and the support she received from her fellow members so much as she built up her Tropic skincare business, that when the business came up for sale, she bought it.

Subsequently, Dorothy’s husband’s job has been relocated to Manchester meaning a family move; undeterred, Dorothy will not only return to Milton Keynes to continue to run her meetings but will also launch a brand-new group in Manchester. Dorothy is also in her second year of Law School.

Dorothy said:

“I’m very excited to get my group up and running and I look forward to welcoming some fantastic women, to helping support them and watching them grow, not just in business but all round.”

Helen Clarke

Helen Clarke was a member of her local WIBN group in Preston, Lancashire; she accredits the group with helping her to grow her successful digital marketing company, which she still runs alongside her other businesses.  When the Preston WIBN group closed during Covid, rather than miss her meetings, Helen travelled a 100-mile round-trip to her next nearest group, in Chester.

When her local Preston territory was offered for sale, Helen jumped at the chance to buy it. She will be offering groups in Preston, Blackburn and the Ribble Valley in due course.

Helen said:

“Empowering and supporting women to develop and grow into the very best versions of themselves is something I am really passionate about. I am excited to bring together passionate businesswomen across Lancashire.”

Sharon Carter

Sharon Carter initially saw an advert on Facebook to buy an existing WIBN territory in Cambridgeshire, but her location wasn’t quite right, so she bought one closer to home instead. Her meetings will cover Wisbeach, Holbeach, and soon, Peterborough.

Sharon already owns a successful estate agency and had been thinking about starting up a similar women-only networking group. After a chat with franchise manager Angel Scott-Bottoms, she realised that WIBN had already built the exact networking group she was planning to open, so bought her local territory rather than, as she put it, ‘reinventing the wheel’.

Sharon said:

“I am incredibly excited to start WIBN groups in my local area. To be able to support women in business in an environment which is safe, nurturing, encouraging and dynamic, sprinkled with some humour, is an honour and a privilege.”

Franchise consultant at WIBN Angel Scott-Bottoms who oversees their joining said:

“It is so exciting to welcome these three new ladies to the network. They each bring so much value with them and I know they are going to be a huge asset to the brand.  Having previously to them only over zoom, it was great to be able to do their induction training day in person.  I’m really excited for them to officially launch their businesses and to supporting them as they grow.”
