Martina Schirinzi , owner of Martina Schirinzi - Business Coach
What first drew you to starting your business?
This all began when I volunteered on a mentoring programme for women in business and got a huge buzz out of being able to help my mentee on her journey to grow her business. I realised that I could help other people be successful by sharing my knowledge of business planning, strategy and business analysis. I researched business coaching versus mentoring and was drawn towards business coaching as a way of empowering business owners to build the business of their dreams. So that is what I do - I am a Business Coach.
What is the best thing about being your own boss?
The best thing about being my own boss is being able to choose who I work with. I love working with people who are passionate about making a difference in their clients’ lives in some way.
What's your advice to other women going into business?
My advice to other women going into business is to get a Business Coach! You are going into business because you are passionate about what you do. But you perhaps don’t have the business skills you need. A Business Coach will be there with you on your journey.
What is your top tip for success?
My top tip for success is don’t try to do everything yourself. Get an accountant if you aren’t good with finances. Get a Marketing expert if the thought of writing social media posts or blogs doesn’t excite you. Focus your time on doing the thing you love, the reason you set up your business in the first place.
Tell us something about yourself we might not expect?
I started playing the french horn about 3 years ago and I am looking forward to playing in the orchestra at our local Proms in the Park this summer!
