LAKPA is a small local charity that supports kidneys patients, their families, carers and the renal staff that support them. We're run solely by our volunteers, all of whom have had their lives touched by kidney disease.
My background is in marketing and advertising and I relish the chance to use the skills I've gained over the last 25 years to do just that.
As someone who spent three years on dialysis before getting my longed for kidney transplant in January 2023, my hope is that if I can help educate people about kidney disease it could mean someone gets an early diagnosis and never has to endure dialysis or a transplant. That is the dream anyway.
